![]() Max Payne and Control studio Remedy have a lot of irons in the fire, including a sequel to Alan Wake, a combined remake of Max Payne 1 & 2 and a likely (if yet to be fully confirmed) sequel to Control. Working titles: Project Condor & Project Vanguard Hideo Kojima’s mystery project with Xbox Game Studios First quietly teased in 2018, executive producer Greg Street recently confirmed that the project is alive and "going great." Still, don’t sit around waiting to play this one, as Street mentioned that the first playtests "won’t be soon." Personally, I’m more interested in the fighting game. Riot’s other, much bigger (and more secret) project is an upcoming MMO set in the League of Legends world of Runeterra. The idea was to make the normally execution-heavy genre more accessible to newcomers, and it’s one I’d like to see return. While we don’t have any hard details on Project L’s combat mechanics, I’d be surprised if it completely left behind Rising Thunder’s biggest idea: That special moves could be performed with a single button and limited by a short cooldown, similar to a MOBA like (you guessed it) League of Legends. Riot also confirmed that (as with League) it’ll be free-to-play. It was unveiled fully in August, with a developer diary video and several gameplay clips. While it's yet to nail down a final title, everything else about ‘Project L’ looks to be coming together nicely. Project L is that crew’s League of Legends fighting game spinoff. Way back in 2016, League of Legends studio Riot aimed to expand its horizons by buying out several smaller studios, including Radiant Entertainment, developers of the promising looking indie fighting game Rising Thunder. Working title: "Project L" and none, respectively Current job postings on the ZA/UM site include vacancies for a lead game designer (a juicy sounding role), plus Unity-based development roles, including a space open for a senior Unity gameplay programmer. Whether this means that the next project is branching off into a new setting entirely, or further expanding the slightly dreamlike alternate Earth of Elysium is anyone’s guess. ![]() The artist it's looking for has an understanding of city planning and architecture, a love of all things sci-fi and space-based, and an understanding that "there are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in philosophy." ![]() Details are limited, but an early job posting for an environment artist mentioned some juicy facts about the project. Now equipped with funding, ZA/UM's got another game in the pipeline. Estonian underdog studio ZA/UM bet the farm on Disco Elysium, and the mad gamble paid off. If you open your eyes and the product settles in lines then it will stay that way. The trick with these paint pots is to apply them evenly, blend it out, close your eyes for 30 seconds at least and let it dry to a smooth, finish. Some people have complained of creasing, I’ve never experienced that. These colours blend easily with their buttery texture, but really do dry fast and furiously. In studying the physics of light, there are other formulas and properties we can examine. You can download specific technical specifications about our lights to learn more detail about each one or you can view those tech specs on our individual product pages. In the world of lighting, we look at the properties of light to define what we need in each lighting application scenario. This is particularly useful when we examine the lightwaves captured by the Hubble telescope or even when we look at light beams here on Earth. Each type of light tells us unique things. Scientists use the various waves in the EM Spectrum to measure and study our universe. The energy of visible light received by your retina is interpreted by your brain as color. NASA equates these waves to the size of a virus. When talking about light, we refer to the frequency in terms of color.Įlectromagnetic waves within the Visible Spectrum are tiny. This is usually measured in cycles per second or hertz. The frequency of a wave is the number of full wavelengths (one crest and one trough) that pass a given point in space each second. A single wavelength is measured as the distance between two consecutive toughs or crests.Īmplitude is associated with the brightness or intensity of a wave and is measured from the central axis up to the midpoint of the crest. Waves crest (up) and trough (down) on either side of that central axis when shown during the passage of time. Think of the central axis of a wave as the horizontal distance. ![]() The point where the wave creates a dividing line, where an equal visual weight appears on each side (crest and trough) is called the central axis. Because light travels in waves over time, similar to waves in the ocean, we can measure the distance traveled by looking at the wavelength. How we measure light is as important as its properties. ![]() Vibrating an electric charge produces electromagnetic waves. Energy is transported by electromagnetic waves through outer space. By contrast, mechanical waves only transport energy via a medium. Electromagnetic waves oscillate perpendicular to one another in a wave format unique to its specific frequency.Įlectromagnetic waves can travel through a vacuum. This is shown in the ocean with the swell or crest and then a valley or trough of water. ![]() When we examine the definition of a wave, we find a wave refers to the disturbance in a physical medium or field that results in an oscillation or vibration. The word “wave” often brings to mind our magnificent ocean waves. This is one reason why addressing climate change, and making choices to help create a sustainable future is important. Because of the Earth’s protective atmosphere, which absorbs gamma rays, we on the planet are protected from those harmful radiation waves. They operate at high frequencies, which means high energy is involved. The frequencies for UV, X-Ray and Gamma, which are outside the Visible Spectrum, are a harmful type of radiation to living organisms. Aside from LED light bulbs which sit inside the Visible Light Spectrum, you can listen to music over radio waves, your doctor performs x-rays to view broken bones, and you may have heated your lunch with the energy produced by the microwave spectrum. From low to high frequency range:Īll of these frequencies are present in your daily life. You will recognize many of the various regions of the EM Spectrum. The large range of frequencies within EM Radiation is a classification called the Electromagnetic Spectrum. What we can see is called the Visible Spectrum. The human eye cannot see all forms of electromagnetic radiation. Electromagnetic radiation helps with plant photosynthesis and with zooplankton biosynthesis in our oceans, it can be converted into solar power, and it allows us to see a variety of colors. An examination of the various forms of light can provide you with a solid base and understanding of light, as you create light plans for your current projects.Įlectromagnetic radiation is a form of energy. While scientists continue to debate about our world view or zeitgeist, there are a number of established principles and properties that can reveal the nature of light. It is a narrow band within the Electromagnetic Spectrum. As the name suggests, this is the segment the human eye can see. One aspect of light that is important to understand is the Visible Light Spectrum. The real competition when you're looking for somewhere to write a note isn't other note-taking apps, but a pen and scrap of paper. Second, all the note-taking apps had to be quick and easy to use as intended. Not every note-taking app needs to have features like image-to-text conversion or stylus support, but if it boasted about them on its marketing page, they had better be well-executed and nice to use. This sounds like an easy bar to clear, but you'd be surprised at how many apps fell short. With so many apps to consider-and so many apps claiming to be notes apps-I had some pretty strict criteria for what made an app worthy of this list.įirst, the best note-taking software has to be good at what it claims to do. If your favorite app isn't on the list, feel free to shout at me. For example, while I love text-heavy notes apps with support for Markdown (which shouldn't really be a surprise), I recognize that other people are looking for different things. I've done my best to leave my preferences out of the decision-making process here. Even after 10 years, I'm still fine-tuning the system I use. Note taking is something I have opinions about. For more details on our process, read the full rundown of how we select apps to feature on the Zapier blog.Īs a tech writer, I've been taking notes and reviewing software every day for over a decade. We're never paid for placement in our articles from any app or for links to any site-we value the trust readers put in us to offer authentic evaluations of the categories and apps we review. Similarly, there are lots of powerful business collaboration tools that claim to be notes apps but just aren't suitable for one person. I also only really considered general-purpose personal note-taking apps. (I say “almost exactly what I want” because I can’t figure out how to clean up the folder names, so they’re all displaying the full hierarchy for each folder - not the end of the world, but takes a lot of space and is redundant for my use.So for this list, I didn't look at every app that could be used to take notes or even every business collaboration tool that claimed it was a notes app-I was only interested in apps that were explicitly designed to be notes apps. So, the “Topics” list went from being a flattened list of all topics, to one that’s properly grouped by folder (folders sorted alphabetically), with the files also sorted alphabetically. ![]() I had been using a dataviewjs hack to kind of approximate hierarchical file listings, but it was ugly and the results were weirdly formatted.īut - I just spent some time in the dataview documentation and, with a bit of trial and error, came up with a way that does almost exactly what I want. ![]() Previously, I could only figure out how to list the files across all subfolders, sorted alphabetically. In other threads I see that there has been some sort of issue with the version number (3.0 or 3.0.0) and that there are TUs available but I guess that it only solves the figurines but not the actual new "games" that comes with the playsets as well as the respective language packs. And Disney Infinity 3.0 puts its largest focus on Star Wars, but it also has heroes from the Marvel Comics and Disney. Marvels The Avengers Play Set is a play set for Disney Infinity 2.0 based on The Avengers, and comes with the Disney Infinity 2.0 Starter Pack. I downloaded both playsets and their respective language packs and did like last time - transferred the data to the JTAG machine but it doesn't work - it still complains about having to download the data (which I cannot since I can't connect to XBOX Live). With the Finding Dory and Marvel Battlegrounds playsets I do have issues however, I had to create a XBOX live account in order to be able to update the playsets on the non-JTAG machine. Disney Infinity 3.0: Play Without Limits is releasing the Marvel Battlegrounds Play Set, introducing a new character and an updated Captain America.
